I was searching for some music to listen and I came across Taylor Swift and “Untouchable”. I didn’t know either and I really liked the tune. So here it is for you to enjoy.

Going through Facebook, I noticed some pictures posted by my SL cousins Flor and Chagal taken at the Intouchable sim. As I don’t believe in coincidences I thought that could be a sign for me to log in to SL and head to Intouchable for a nice photo session without crashes.

And you know what? It worked! I didn’t crash not even once!

Fall Colours

I use the CtrAlT Studio Viewer, which is apparently a lighter version of FireStorm with all the good FS features. Good thing is I only crash 2 times per session, instead of the usual 10 in FS lol.

However, when I logged in yesterday I was a beautiful cloud and, after waiting a couple of minutes without rezzing, decided to log out and clear cache, which I haven’t done for months.

When I logged back in, inventory was not loading so I sat on the balcony at home and fell asleep.

Sleeping

Finally inventory loaded and with new energy I headed to Frisland. After getting my backpack (free at landing point in men and women versions and 2 colours each) and hiring a bike I pedaled away to check the place.

Cycling

The sim is beautiful, full of little cozy corners and lots of new four-legged friends to meet. The foxes showed me the way to the waterfall and after hanging with them for a bit, I waved goodbye and went to check the rest of the island.

Peaceful living

When I was trying to head south, following the weathervane, I crashed, but I will return to Frisland to discover more hidden corners.

Heading South

What I am wearing:
New release from Gizza Fall Outfit IV (including ankle boots, shades and purse)
Hair from Kletva (store closed)

Tequilla Sunrise is one of my favourite cocktails and when I heard of Just Another Tequilla Sunrise headed there to have a drink.

I was greeted with a LM and a very friendly and nice notecard by Arol Lightfoot, who did a wonderful job at the island. With lots of little corners and hideouts to discover, no detail was left to chance. If you are into photography, take your camera and poses (you can rezz there) and pay her a visit. If you are not, it is a great place to hangout.

Cheers!

Orchids and Bats

My good friends FlorMarie and Portus Phortus opened a new store. So me and my SL cousins decided to go there and check it out.

Orchid is a beautiful store, very well decorated and we hanged out there for quite some time. The clothes are beautiful and quite affordable, so we got a couple of dresses and waited for our letter to appear on the balloon, which I found to be quite innovative compared with the usual letter boards we see across the grid.

Orquídea Final

But you know how (some) guys and shopping are, right? Chagal insisted that we should go and see that “gorgeous” Ferrari. FlorCampestre and I wanted to go on a shopping spree, but ended up going with him.

He decided to get the car and go for a ride, me and Flor wanted to go shopping. Then all hell broke and guess what? The Ferrari needs a new windshield…

The Far East always had a strong appeal to me and when someone mentioned Kashmir Dreams I knew I had to go there.

And so I did. Landing near a beach camp, all thoughts of the East immediately faded.

The whole place seemed abandoned. No one in sight and dark clouds were approaching.

As I walked towards the trailer I see this home-made wind chime under the awning. It kept still in spite of the soft breeze washing the sand. Skys suddenly turned blue and a strange rain could be seen in the horizon pouring from a big dark cloud.

Still windchimes

The storm was approaching and I took a bike that stood nearby and pedaled away as fast as I could.

Running from the storm

The day became darker. In the distance a bright light could be seen. I headed there and trying to pay no attention to the scary look of the lantern guardian I asked where I could get some information. “At the liquor Store, m’me”

A lantern in the dark

When I arrived the rain had stopped. The air was heavy, an old pick-up that had seen better days stood there, facing the apparently abandoned building.

Info booth

The glasses in the windows were broken and I looked inside. Strangely the table was set for three and, in contrast with the desolation outside, everything looked bright and shining.

Tea time

I waited and waited and no one appeared. I headed back to the beach camp and took a nap inside the trailer before going home.

Back to camp

As promised I will show you today the outfit inside the cow I bought the other day. The name of the outfit from FBD (MOoH!) is Poppies and Leathers and comes both with shirt (shown) and without shirt. All the pieces are in mesh and are really well made and fit perfectly.

I took the pictures at this great residential island, now “dressed” for winter, called Silver Bird build by Vita Camino. The cottages, scattered around the island are all different from each other and beautifully decorated. The common grounds are beautifully decorated with hangout and a small playground. If you are looking for a winter hideout this is the place to go.

Take your scarf and mittens and head there. Leave you here some pics I managed to take before I crashed (S-I-X times *sigh*)

Yesterday when I logged in I had two unusual experiences that I would like to share with you.

Going through all the notices received, I got this one from Cosmopolitan and headed there to get a beautiful outfit from FBD with a 50% discount which I will show you in another post.

Headed home and rezzed the box. I never had bought anything from FBD before, so imagine my surprise when I see this rezzing in my dressing room. Congrats to Darlriada Delwood for the imagination and thinking out of the box.

Dress in a cow

The second surprise was a delightful IM from Jana Nexen, congratulating me for my photos and inviting me to visit her SIM – Sense.

I have never heard of Sense before (I don’t make much myself most of the time lol) and had some time on my hands so I headed there.

The island was built by Jana and Soo Vemoo and it is beautiful. A quiet place, full of games, so well build-in to the landscape that you almost miss them. For those of you who like to play zingo, there is also a skybox at 3000 meters high. The island is almost lag free and a very peaceful place to hangout with your friends or alone.

Road to no where

And back to blogging again after a long 9 month period. And no, don’t get any ideas inside your pixel heads, I didn’t have a baby hehehe

Back to blogging and to show you some of the great places you can find in our beloved virtual world. What a better way to start than with the last work of Cica Ghost?

Most of you probably know some of Cica’s works, like Rust, Black and White World, Ghost Ville, Small Village or The Visitors. I find in her works a mix of innocence and wonder and, at the same time, her attention to details, the wonderful textures, the movement and all the ambiance makes you want to stay there forever. She is also a great photographer. You can check her photostream here

Her new build, Little Town, is no exception. Even if you run Second Life on low graphics you can still see the beauty of the place.

The first two pictures were taken on low graphics and with region windlight default so you can see how it looks. All the others are also raw from SL (windlight preset “Bristol”).

Are you still there? Log in and get to Little Town. It will be worth it!

Alice in Wonderland

It has been a while since I wrote a post, but to tell you the truth I have been feeling kind of lame and haven’t logged in much into SL.

Last week one of my good friends in SL called me on my mobile (yeah I am that crazy, have virtual friends whom I speak with in RL :P) and asked me: “When are we going to Wonderland?”

All of a sudden it stroke me. I wasn’t logging in because I hadn’t anything to do. I have to always be involved in something or otherwise I get bored.

As usual, when me and my friends get together what starts with “lets throw a party” usually ends in building a complete scenery and associated with some photography exhibition at the Gallery. Chagal made this gorgeous dance floor and the garden walls, Flor had some great ideas and I took care of the landscaping. And Alice in Wonderland was born, squeezed in a 4096 sqm plot next to the gallery.

We tried to give it the magical ambiance of Lewis Carrol book. Drop by for a visit and if you want your pics on the theme displayed at my Gallery, please contact me inworld (notecard with your name please) during next week and I will provide all the information needed.

If you want to take a look at the place, go down the rabbit hole and enjoy your stay. Most of the pieces scattered are multipose, so bring your friends and have fun.

Down the rabbit hole

The place will be there forever, until we move to the next project. Party soon to be announced too.

“Alice: How long is forever?
Rabbit: Sometimes just a second!”

Whisper Forest

I already mentioned somewhere that I like to do map hopping and discover little gems that (supposedly) haven’t been blogged yet. The 1st of January was no different and after some of the usual deserted or badly build islands I landed at the Whisper Forest. After everything was loaded I find myself surrounded by beautifully carved gothic arches and an arched pathway in front of me leading to this beautiful forest.

Path to paradise

Explored a lot and took tons of pics and yesterday I showed the place to my good friends Chagal and Flor. We were there for hours (literally) just wandering around and even found new spots I had missed the day before.

It was very hard to choose which pics to put here, but here they go. You can rezz there so grab your gear and if you like leave in comments the link for your pictures. Always love to see the different approaches of the same places. 🙂
